Employees are starting to move into the new Yamhill County Public Works building on Lafayette Avenue. Public Works Director John Phelan gave a report to commissioners yesterday and said the new facility is not fancy, but very functional and they were able to keep building costs low. Even with adding 20 feet to the building , more parking lot lighting and an additional restroom.
Employees are being moved in one at a time. Administrative staff are being moved in one at a time, and he expects to be totally moved in within two weeks.
Phelan says he was impressed at how close builders were able to stay close to the budgeted amount
