Yamhill County’s “NerdHerd” headed to World Competition in Houston April 17, 2019

Need to raise ten-thousand dollars
Yamhill County robotics team is moving on to “world competition” in Houston Texas. This after a strong showing last week at the Pacific Northwest District FRC tournament in Tacoma, Washington. They had ten wins, two losses in Tacoma. The Houston competition is Wednesday April 17th through Saturday April 20th.
Ethan Hanson, Lead Programming Co Captain from the NerdHerd, said in their second to last qualification round we were damaged by 4125 confidential, causing issues with the radio and later with electronics
NerdHerd was subbed in for Newport robotics group (NRG #948) in a semifinal match. Hanson says they walked away with one of the best win loss records at this year’s District competition. The only other teams with a higher scoring record were Jack in the Bot and Bare metal at 11 wins, one loss for each of those teams.
But despite some disappointments, the NerdHerd Team has enough points to compete in the International competition in Houston, Texas.
The group needs to raise ten thousand dollars to go.
they need five thousand dollars to register, as well as extra money for travel, lodging. You can Donate to NerdHerd 4043’s attempt to go to world competition at this Go Fund Me Link.
