It all begain in the parking lot of the Chinook Winds Casino when workers called police because a suspicious women was getting into and out of the moving truck.
Police contacted the man and found there was a no contact order and several out of state warrants from Colorado and New York. Police were not able to enforce those warrants, but apparently Parson thought he was going to be arrested because he took off at a high rate of speed in the truck.
Police twice used spike strips to stop the truck, but Parson drove in the opposite lane of travel and avoided the strips. Finally, officers laid strips across the entire road near Willamina and Parson stopped and was arrested. He faces new charges of felony eluding, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and violating a no contact order. He is being held in the Lincoln County jail. The woman was not charged.
