Highway 99W closed for several hours after Semi-SUV crash

Highway 99 W was closed for several hours yesterday (wed) at 6:40am after a semi truck driver had a medical emergency and veered into the oncoming lane, hitting an SUV after both swerved off the road. Accident happened about a mile south of Dundee

46-year old Steven Dwayne Kemp of Tacoma, Washington was southbound in a white Frieghtliner pulling a 53 foot trailer when he had his medical emergency. His big rig careened through a grassy median and onto the northbound lane, continuing off the road into a ditch. An SUV driven by 49-year old Tarin Lynne Bickford of McMinnville swerved to avoid hitting the big truck, but went off the road and was hit by the semi in a field.

21 year old Emma K Allen of McMinnville was a passenger. She and another juvenile were taken to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
