Undersheriff Paul Timm reports on April 10, 2019, deputies rescued four people and two dogs off of 29338 Highway 34, at Jim’s Fruit stand. Residents in the surrounding area were also contacted to see if they needed any assistance. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office checked the area by air to look for any potential trouble spots.

A Linn Benton alert message was sent out to the affected area advising residents the Willamette River at Corvallis had reached the highest point and the waters would begin to slowly recede.

Linn County Emergency Services Lieutenant Joe Larsen is working closely with the National Weather Service and the Army Corps of Engineers to monitor river levels throughout the County.

Linn County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Albany Fire Department.
