Covallis credit union robbed

On January 22nd, 2018, at approximately 2:54 PM, Corvallis Police Department Officers responded to the Central Willamette Credit Union at 555 NE Circle Blvd for a report of a robbery that just occurred. A male entered the credit union and presented a note to the teller demanding money. No weapon was displayed during the robbery, and no employees were injured. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the credit union. Investigators determined the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Christopher J. Becker of Philomath, arrived at and then left from the credit union in a taxicab. Shortly after leaving the area of the credit union, he exited the taxicab on foot.

On February 5th, 2018, Corvallis Police Detectives were able to locate the whereabouts of Christopher Becker in Salem, Oregon. He was arrested by the Salem Police Department and transported to the Marion County Jail where he was held on a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Robbery III and Theft I.
