NEW NEWBERG CITY COUNCIL AND MAYOR TO BE SWORN IN
There will be no Work Session on January 7, 2019. New elected officials will be sworn in at 7:00 p.m. The Public is welcome to attend and greet the new Council plus say goodbye to outgoing councilors. There will be refreshments following the meeting. KLYC will live stream the swearing in ceremony and may have some on camera interviews with new mayor Rick Rogers and city councilors. Elizabeth Gemeroy will be sworn into the district two seat, replacing Stephen McKinney. Stephanie Findley will take over from Scott Essin. Neither McKinney and Essin ran for re-election.
Newberg City Council meets on the first and third Mondays of the month. If the Monday falls on a holiday, the Council meets on a Tuesday. Meetings are held at the Public Safety Building, 401 E. Third Street, in the training room. Work sessions are held at 6 p.m. followed by Business Sessions at 7 p.m. Meeting materials are produced in a Council packet generally one week ahead of the meeting and published online.
