Woman missing near Dayton died of blunt force trauma

Friday morning an autopsy was performed regarding the death of Meighan Cordie, whose body was recovered near Dayton, Oregon yesterday morning. The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office has determined the cause of death to be from blunt force trauma. Investigators are working on determining how the trauma occurred and the circumstances surrounding it. Details regarding the autopsy will not be released at this time to ensure the integrity of the investigation.
