Dayton turns the page into the future

It’s turning the page in downtown Dayton as some of the long established businesses are making way for new entrepreneurs. Kelly Haverkate of Downtown Dayton says October was a quite month as some owners decided to take another direction in life, but with the new year brings new faces.

Alacrity Hair Salon has moved into downtown Dayton. They have set up shop in the little gas station near downtown.

New owners at the Bypass Bar and Grill at the old Roman’s location, corner of Fourth and Ferry.

Dayton has a brand new Italian Restaurant called Mama Italia Restauranta. Owners Marko and Kathy have come from Las Vegas. Marko has a lot of experience and quite a few family recipes he wants to cook for you. They will be open Saturday and Sunday nights. Open Monday through Friday during lunch and dinner.

Juanitas will take the place of Archies, on Fourth and Ferry Streets. She is moving up from California and will open a Tacoria featuring ice cream, coffee, and pastries.

Dayton Friday nights grows every year. It’s free of charge at the city park and people are invited to come and enjoy food and music. Music enjoyment is free of charge.

February 9th is the Chocolate crawl from noon to 3 pm. Passports are ten dollars each. Enter to win a drawing. Enjoy chocolate in downtown Dayton. Buys passports online at DaytonOregon.org or at Dayton the day of the event.
