SEARCH FOR MISSING SKIER ON MT. HOOD

HOOD RIVER, ORE - Search operations for a missing skier have concluded for the day at Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort. Steve Leavitt, a 57 year old man from The Dalles, was reported missing on Tuesday, March 7th when he did not return home from skiing. Leavitt was last seen when his ski pass was scanned at 11:20am on the Heather Chair Lift. Searchers worked till 2:00am this morning and then resumed at 7:00am. Searchers from Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Patrol, The Crag Rats and Portland Mountain Rescue found no sign of Leavitt today. Search operations will continue tomorrow morning

The search for the missing persons has lasted throughout the night and this morning by the US Coast Guard. The adult male or his three year old son ave not yet been located. The adult male has been identified as 31 year old Jayson Dean THOMAS, of Elmira, Oregon.

OSP does not usually release the names of juveniles unless there is consent by the family or if the juvenile is a public safety threat. More information will be released when it becomes available.

EARLY BALLOT RETURNS EXCEED 1 MILLION

Turnout breaks Oregon record for Friday before general election

SALEM — More than 1 million Oregonians have cast their ballot so far, as voters head into the last weekend before the Tuesday general election, the Oregon Secretary of State announced.

Compared to today's total of 1.05 million ballots returned, 805,862 ballots were returned on the Friday before the 2012 general election, and 810,254 ballots returned the Friday before the 2008 general election.

ROAD RAGE ON I- 205 SOUTHBOUND NEAR OREGON CITY

On September 9th, 2016 at 7:30 AM a road rage incident occurred on I-205, southbound, near milepost 10 and 9 (vicinity of Oregon City). Several parties have reported the situation and provided a video showing a firearm being used in the incident. The vehicles involved are being described as Black Mercedez SUV and a Grey Dodge 3500 pick-up with a lift kit. The incident in question occurred on the southbound shoulder of I-205.
